What is a Legacy?

Feel Better Legacies are lasting ways to honor or memorialize your child and their battle, while bettering the world around you. Legacies are planned acts of kindness, support, or community outreach. Some families choose to dedicate hospital wagons in their child's honor, others wish to plant a community garden. Some families even decide to host events to gain research money for their child's condition.

Families often find the legacy granting process therapuetic and healing- creating light from a dark time.

Common Legacy Choices:

Fundraising events for a particular condition

Eligibility Requirements:

Legacy must honor a living or deceased child/teen under the age of 25.
Legacy recipient must have battled, fought, or conquered a life-threatening disease, condition, or cancer. If the candidate is still in treatment, the family must be in a position to discuss legacy and assist in minor planning.
Legacy recipient must live within the United States.
Events are currently limited to the state of Ohio. Yet, many other legacies can occur in any state.

Your Role In The Process:

If your family is a good fit, we will work together to develop a legacy choice and plan. Then, your task will be spreading the word. Feel Better Foundation will raise the money and help execute the plan in your child or teen's name.

Steps To Becoming A Legacy Granter:

Email info@feelbetterfoundation.com for a list of warriors in need.
Choose a warrior to help support.
Learn about their legacy wish and goals.
Sponsor the legacy as an individual, company, family, church OR fundraise, host an event, etc. to do so!
If you wish, be a part of the wish granting process!

Brynnley's Bundles Legacy Brynnley's family wished for bags filled with hospital essentials, toiletries, gift cards, and toys for each new family on the pediatric cancer floor.	Lifting spirits, satisfying chemo cravings, and providing comfort food to pediatric cancer patients during hospital stays.	Connor's Memorial Legacy Connor was passionate about helping inner city children and teens. Therefore, his family wished to raise funds in his honor to help a school in need.	Aiden's Legacy Aiden's family loves looking for Aiden's special wagon and knowing that they are helping to brighten the day of children in treatment.
Jillian's Legacy Jilly wished to plant a tree in a local park to raise awareness and symbolize all pediatric cancer warriors.	Leah's Legacy Leah wished to provide gaming devices such as, Switches and Amazon tablets, to children in clinic.	Kason's Legacy Kason loves knowing that children going through treatment have a special Batman Strong wagon to enjoy.	Meranda's Legacy As a teen, cancer treatment has been hard on Meranda. She was thrilled to be able to provide something for younger patients to look forward to.
Logan's Legacy Logan and his family wished to donate bundles of blankets to the PICU floor, where he spent some time, and a wagon for other warriors to enjoy.	Eli's Legacy In honor of his own battle, Eli wished to raise money for Congenital Heart Defect (CHD) research and care at Motts Hospital. He raised over $1000.	Maelee wished to sponsor a hospital wagon for other pediatric cancer warriors to enjoy on their long stays.	Jensen's Memorial Legacy Jenson's family honored him with a wagon at the hospital that took such good care of him.
Jonah's Legacy Jonah loves taking wagon rides during his hospital stays. We were happy to grant his wish of giving back to Nationwide Children's Hospital.	Leanna's Legacy Leanna wished to create "I Lived" lists to help other warriors live life to the fullest.	Pax's Legacy Pax wanted to gift the children at the hospital something special to enjoy while in treatment. A butterfly hospital wagon was a perfect fit!	Athena's Legacy Athena wished to gift a wagon to her hospital so that other children could enjoy some time out of their hospital rooms.
The Molly Impact TMI- The Molly Impact helps young adult pediatric cancer warriors and their families through personalized care packages, academic and medical scholarships, respite activities, advocacy, and recurrence wishes.	Trey's Legacy Trey was eager to giveback to the hospital that has helped him thrive, with a special butterfly wagon.
